LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul Nike Dream Team Lose In Exhibition

Over the weekend, Team Melo took on Team Philly in the Battle for I-95 and in a stunning upset, Team Philly won 131-22. That sentence probably doesn't mean much to you right now, but what if I told you Team Melo had a murderer's row of NBA All-Stars, like LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony and Team Philly had Tyreke Evans, Hakim Warrick, Kyle Lowry, and Lou Williams, and Team Philly still won? Would that be something that you might be interested in?

Living by the edict "Basketball Never Stops," the exhibition played to a packed house of close to 9,000 at the University of Pennsylvania that saw a great showing on both sides. James, who was heavily booed by Philly fans (well, yeah) led all scorers with 43 points, while Kyle Lowry was high point man for Team Philly with 34

The game was also the debut of some new shoes from the James-Melo-Paul triumvirate. James unveiled an aqua-blue colorway of the LeBron 8 PS, Anthony showed up in a pair of the Melo M7 Advance "Blue Ribbon," and Paul had on a road version of his low-cut CP 2'Quick. Team Philly was no slouch in the shoe game either, with Evans and Warrick rocking the Hyperdunk 2011 and Lowry leading the way in the Kobe VI. See? Even when Mamba isn't around, his shadow - or at least his shoe - casts ominously over all.
