Kevin Doyle snatched all three points for Wolves as ten-man QPR suffered a second-half collapse.
The home side took the lead after quarter of an hour when Abdel Taarabt flicked the ball to Djibrile Cisse who then found Shaun Wright-Phillips in the box. His backheel may have been an attempt at controlling the ball, but it fell nicely for Bobby Zamora who fired home.
With Wolves asking absolutely no questions of their opponent's defence, QPR were cruising.
The game changed just after the half hour when Roger Johnson made a clumsy challenge on Cisse. The Wolves man was rightly booked for his tackle, but by the time Mark Clattenberg had show that card, he had already given Cisse his marching orders for shoving Johnson and then grabbing his chin. One wonders how many red cards Mark Hughes and Mick McCarthy, the two managers here, would have received if they were playing today, after Djibril Cissé was sent off on his home debut for Queens Park Rangers.
When Cissé was dismissed in the 34th minute of this relegation battle, his side were leading 1-0 through a goal from Bobby Zamora on his debut for QPR.
