Kyle Dyer, KUSA Anchor In Denver, Bit On The Face By Dog Rescued From Freezing Smith Reservoir (VIDEO)
The host, who has worked at KUSA-TV in Denver, Colorado for the past 15 years, was attacked by Max, an 85 pound Argentine mastiff earlier this week.
The three year-old dog and its owner, Michael Robinson, had appeared on her station’s popular news show on Wednesday to discuss the pet’s rescue from a local frozen pond.The appearance was intended to reunite the dog, which has a full name Warrior Maximus, with its rescuer, Tyler Sugaski, a local firefighter after it chased a coyote into the ice the previous week.
As the popular host told the dog he was “gorgeous” and “Happy Valentine’s Day”, it attacked her without warning, sinking her teeth into her face and biting her lip as she leant forward to kiss it.
Footage of the horrifying incident, which has been reported around the world, then showed the host falling backwards and appearing stunned at the attack.
Cameras then cut to a clearly shocked co-host Gary Shapiro, who after a long pause, then went on to introduce a weather story.

Video: Giant whale shark hauled ashore at Karachi's fish harbour
A 40-foot long whale shark was just sold by a group of Pakistani fisherman for RS 1.7 million (about $20,000 USD). The bus-sized whale was found dead off a pear in Karachi and required five cranes to life on shore.
Mehmood Khan, the owner of the Charai Fishery, said that the whale shark was found 10 days ago about 100 miles from his fishery. After dragging the giant shark back to land, Khan attempted to lift it out of the water with two cranes. The two cranes failed to lift the shark and Khan had to call in three more cranes to get the job done.

Santorum Leading in Minnesota Caucus, Missouri Primary

Rick Santorum has scored the first victory of the night with a win in Missouri. He's battling with Mitt Romney in Minnesota, while Romney is looking to Colorado for his fourth win in a GOP primary or caucus. Scroll down for updates.
U.S. Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum appears poised for a campaign boost with a strong showing in two of Tuesday's nominating caucuses.
The former senator from Pennsylvania has a solid initial lead in Minnesota, earning 43 percent of the vote with about six percent of precincts reporting. And his early lead in Missouri is even greater at 54 percent with nearly a quarter of the votes counted.
Mitt Romney, who had been hoping to solidify his front-runner status in Tuesday's contests, is more than 20 points behind Santorum in Missouri and lagging in third place in Minnesota.
The former Massachusetts governor may be helped by voters in Colorado, however, where Tuesday's caucus results have not yet been posted. Romney won the state by a large margin when he ran unsuccessfully for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and was expected to win again Tuesday.
A total of 70 delegates are up for grabs in the Colorado and Minnesota, although they will be awarded later at district and state conventions. Missouri's primary is non-binding, with no delegates at stake.

Jeremy Lin vs Wizards [Highlights] - February 8th 2012
Jeremy Lin got the start at point guard and the short-handed New York Knicks beat the Utah Jazz on Monday night (Feb. 6). The starting lineup looked a bit different
with Lin and Jared Jeffries getting the chance to start for the first time this year. Jeffries got the start because Amare Stoudemire was out due to a family emergency. Somehow it all worked out, as New York is now on a two-game winning streak after putting down the Jazz.
I wrote on Sunday (Feb. 5) about how I felt Lin had earned more minutes and coach Mike D'Antoni came through for him against the Jazz. Lin provided the type of energy that the Knicks really needed and it became even more necessary when Carmelo Anthony went down with a groin injury in the first quarter. Without Anthony or Stoudemire, the team should have struggled, but the combination of Lin and Steve Novak off the bench ended up giving the Madison Square Garden something special in this one. Jeremy Lin scored a career-high 28 points in his first career start, Steve Novak added a season-best 19, and the New York Knicks overcame the absence of Amare Stoudemire and early loss of Carmelo Anthony to beat the Utah Jazz 99-88 on Monday night.
Stoudemire left the team to join his family in Florida after older brother Hazell was killed there earlier Monday in a car crash, then Anthony left after just six minutes with a strained right groin.

Trying to do his best "Tebowing," Alec Baldwin got a bit of help on stage.
The host of "NFL Honors" on NBC was kneeling down when Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow stepped up and showed Baldwin how it's really done.
"Bless you, Tim," Baldwin responded.
That capped a nearly 10-minute monologue Saturday night on the eve of the Super Bowl as The Associated Press awards for the 2011 season were announced.
Baldwin started by walking into the glittery crowd, handing a football to Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and asking the AP NFL Most Valuable Player to sign it.
The "30 Rock" star then tossed around the jokes, taking equal shots at the NFL, Madonna and the Kardashians, mostly to big laughs from the likes of Joe Namath, Rex Ryan and Cam Newton. All the while, Baldwin clutched his prized souvenir.
The evening's first presenter, Katy Perry, kept in the spirit.He joked about the NFL lockout, saying fans would've had to resort to watching Canadian football with teams with silly names such as the Argonauts.
And he compared Philadelphia quarterback Vince Young's preseason comments of being on a dream team with a bad dream – the nightmare of being naked in school. The Eagles lost four of their first five games.
After the award for the AP Defensive Rookie of the year, Baldwin sat next to former NFL star Archie Manning and asked him: "Peyton or Eli?"

Angelo Dundee was one of those men who embraced you into boxing’s inner family, usually with a smile and a gracious hello. “Ang” had no pretenses, nor any visions of grandeur, even though he was one of the best damn trainers ever to work the corner.Angelo Dundee - the man who trained Muhammad Ali to glory - has died at the age of 90.
Dundee is believed to have died of a heart attack on Wednesday evening after suffering from a blood clot in recent weeks which saw him hospitalised in Florida before being moved to a healthcare centreDundee will be largely remembered as Ali's trainer, guiding the heavyweight from his early days as a professional right through a career which saw the boxer become 'The Greatest' by winning the world heavyweight three three times and engaging in numerous epic fights.

What started out as a series of record hops at Chicago-area high schools back in the mid-1960s wound up as the catalyst for the hugely successful TV series “Soul Train,” thanks to Don Cornelius, a news reporter-turned DJ/host/executive producer with the basso voice and passion for music that rivaled even that of “American Bandstand” main man Dick Clark.
From 1971-2006 (it aired as a local weekday program in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles in 1971), “Soul Train” turned Saturday afternoons into a soul/funk extravaganza. It became a great source of national exposure for iconic artists such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Ike and Tina Turner, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Barry White and Gladys Knight and the Pips.Don Cornelius, creator of the iconic TV music and dance show "Soul Train" that helped introduce Americans to black pop culture, died on Wednesday after shooting himself in the head, Los Angeles officials said.Launched on August 17, 1970 and syndicated in October 1971, Soul Train was an hourlong musical variety show hosted by creator (and former radio DJ and news reporter) Don Cornelius. Swansea City 1 Chelsea 1: match report
Good fortune was smiling on Chelsea, although the point that was salvaged in stoppage time came at a cost. Trailing to Scott Sinclair's wonderful first-half goal and down to 10 men after Ashley Cole picked up a second yellow card for a lunge on Nathan Dyer, Chelsea looked devoid of ideas and were on the brink of a sixth league defeat of the season until José Bosingwa's cross deflected off Neil Taylor to leave Michel Vorm stranded.Swansea were denied their second successive Premier League scalp in the most cruel of ways after Scott Sinclair’s opener against his former club was cancelled out by a deflected Jose Bosingwa shot that secured a point for Chelsea.
In what was very much a game of two halves, Swansea dominated the first yet Chelsea deserved their eventual equaliser after completely ruling the home team out of the game in the second half.
The visitors were without a string of key players with John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ramires all missing through injury whilst Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou were both still away for international duty. Gary Cahill was forced to wait yet another game for his debut despite the absence of his England international team mate, Terry.It was only a 90-minute snapshot of a 38-game Premier League season but, on this evidence, Roman Abramovich selected the wrong Jose Mourinho protégé. Yes, Chelsea snatched a deflected equaliser but the dominant theme of another uplifting occasion at the Liberty Stadium was Swansea’s wonderfully slick passing football.

When will one of the top teams take a punt on David Moyes? That was a victory for organisation, ambition at the right time and a collective and unified determination to get something from the game that had the manager's fingerprints all over it. A game plan perfectly executed: deny City space, win the physical battle, don't hang around getting forward when you get the ball and guard possession when you have it. Gibbson got the goal but Baines and Heitiga and Hibbert and Stracqualursi were the architects of that victory. Darron Gibson helped former team Manchester United as his first goal for Everton was enough to beat Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Denis Stracqualursi's header was nodded off the line by Joleon Lescott as Samir Nasri hit the bar in the first half.
The hosts paraded new signing Nikica Jelavic at half-time and Gibson lifted the crowd further when he struck following Leighton Baines' cross.
City pressed but though Nasri hit the bar again, they could not capitalise.The man emerged from the crowd before half-time and attached himself to the frame of City keeper Joe Hart's goal.
